Great Time For Cygnus
We have secured a contract with Sir Robert McAlpine to supply the renowned Cygnus alarm systems during the £61 million restoration of The Elizabeth Tower in London, most commonly known as Big Ben.
Having already supplied more than 30 of our Cygnus alarm system, more alarms are to be installed next year. The Temporary alarm systems will be installed around and outside of the 96 meter tall building, and will ensure the building is protected against intruders, whilst protecting workers on site over the next four years.
As we know Big Ben (which is the official name of the bell in the top of the tower), will be muted for the duration of the project and the next loudest thing you’ll hear will be the Cygnus alarms should there be a site alert!
The Cygnus system is a revolutionary temporary fire alarm system that will protect the site and workers 24-7. As the project progresses, the alarm systems can be moved around to where they are needed the most, thus providing a flexible, cost-effective,and reliable solution.
