Bull Products shortlisted for London Construction Awards
Bull Products have been shortlisted as a finalist for the London Construction Awards for the following categories; Supplier of the Year and Health & Safety Solution of the Year. These entries were based on the innovative development and flexibility of the Cygnus Wireless Alarm System. The Winners and Runners Up will be announced during the awards gala dinner ceremony on the evening of 26th October at the exclusive venue, The Royal Garden Hotel, London.
In their submission for the Supplier of the Year category Bull Products demonstrated a commitment to the London Construction Industry by constantly adapting to the peculiar challenges that are faced in London. Ideal for use on London construction sites, their flagship product the Cygnus Wireless Alarm System has been developed to operate in dense concrete and steel structured buildings and areas where there are many other radio frequencies in operation. Particular attention has been given to the radio to achieve an impressive connection capability. The Cygnus system operates on unique site addresses in order to keep each system separate and free from interference. This is particularly beneficial for London where there are often multiple sites within range of each other.
The project that lead Cygnus to the shortlist for Health & Safety Solution of the Year was the bespoke solution that was designed and created for Canary Wharf Contractors’ Woodwharf site which included the cofferdam. Read more on this project here. The Cygnus System has been adapted to suit a number of other applications including alarms linked to the lifts at Westminster Kingsway College to ensure the safe evacuation of an occupied building (read more about it here) and visual warning systems at Tottenham Court Road Underground Station to allow safe access to the tunnels.
Not only is it innovation that sets Bull Products apart , but here’s an example of excellent service; after a very urgent phone call from an M&E contractor Bull Products delivered an extra 30 Cygnus units to site within 5 hours of the call. The alarms were configured in Hereford and delivered to the BBC White City project in London by 1pm the same day!
